From stadium to screen: selling the golden state warriors MVP experience

Intro

Confirmed360 is a luxury concierge service that offers exclusive access to high-profile events, VIP experiences, and bespoke lifestyle services. Confirmed360 were working with the Golden State Warriors to take their MVP Gameday Experience to  market.  The Golden State Warriors are a professional basketball team based in San Francisco, California, competing in the NBA’s Western Conference Pacific Division. The Warriors have won multiple NBA championships, with recent successes in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022, and are led by star players like Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

Challenge

Confirmed360 approached us to create a consumer-facing website to sell the Golden State Warriors MVP Gameday Experience at Chase Stadium. Our task was to showcase the exclusivity of this experience, highlight available games, and outline the splash games contest. We made sure the iconic Warriors branding was instantly recognizable yet distinct from the team’s core website. The functionality had to be top-notch, matching the celebrity status this legendary team attains.

Key Ideas & Insights

Striking the balance between identifiable but differentiated 

As this is a sub-brand of the Golden State Warriors official team brand, it was important that the brand identity was carried across but it had its own flair to distinguish it. The iconic blue and yellow showed fans it was their team’s colours and held the brand equity of the warriors but we looked deeper into how to use the branding differently to share this was a different venture from the core team site.

Putting a new lens on the branding as a way to sell the experience

The MVP Gameday Experience needed to be positioned as exclusive, exciting and commemorative of the team. Therefore, we added a gold basketball to show the audience the prestige of this event and get them to feel the eliteness from the branding. 

Custom prize graphics and Splash Game court diagrams

To give a tangible element and to create hype around it, we created custom prize graphics and the Splash Game court diagrams. This boosted the saleability of the experience by helping users understand the product through a visual experience.
